目前不銹鋼管有兩種制造管子的方式：無縫鋼管（seamless）、焊接或是電阻焊接（electric resistance welding，ERW）。
無縫鋼(gang)管是(shi)用(yong)擠(ji)型或是(shi)輥(gun)式(shi)穿孔方(fang)式(shi)+冷(leng)軋或冷(leng)拔(ba)相結合制造。
焊接(jie)或(huo)電阻焊接(jie)管（Electric resistance welding）是將金屬(shu)片(pian)折彎(wan)成管狀后，在邊(bian)緣(yuan)部分焊接(jie)接(jie)合，因此(ci)在管的側面(mian)會(hui)有焊接(jie)縫。
